Golden A' Design Award Winner 2020
Shenzhen Innest Art Co., Ltd.'s Brand Exhibition Hall represents a distinguished achievement in contemporary experiential design, masterfully integrating biophilic principles with sophisticated spatial choreography to create an environment that transcends conventional exhibition typologies. The installation demonstrates exceptional command of material contrast, juxtaposing the organic exuberance of the living wall installation against the refined minimalism of the architectural envelope, thereby establishing a productive tension between nature and artifice that animates the entire composition. The designers appear to engage thoughtfully with phenomenological concerns, orchestrating a sequence of sensory encounters that unfold as visitors move through the space: the warmth of amber-toned pendant fixtures, the coolness of slate blue upholstery, the vitality of verdant botanical masses, and the contemplative reflection offered by the polished floor surface. The chromatic strategy suggests careful consideration of emotional resonance, with the dominant cool palette establishing an atmosphere of calm sophistication while strategic warm accents introduce moments of visual energy and human warmth. The living wall functions as more than decorative element, seemingly operating as a manifestation of the brand's relationship to natural systems, growth, and sustainable thinking. Compositionally, the work demonstrates sophisticated understanding of visual hierarchy, using the dramatic botanical installation to anchor the space while allowing the carefully curated furniture grouping to establish an intimate zone of human scale within the larger architectural volume. The treatment of light merits particular attention: natural illumination filtered through shading systems mingles with the warm glow of pendant fixtures to create a luminous atmosphere that shifts subtly throughout the day. One might observe how this interplay of natural and artificial light sources serves to connect the interior realm with external temporal rhythms while maintaining the controlled environment necessary for brand presentation. What does this carefully orchestrated environment suggest about the relationship between commercial space and human wellbeing in contemporary practice?
With elements of nature in it, the project tried to find a new way for people to know more about the brand culture while brings the attention of people to nature and environment itself. Also, the project divides the exhibition hall into several functional areas, which not only gives an overall demonstration of the style of furniture used, but also builds up the characteristics of the project itself.
