Hu Sun's Residential Exhibition Area exemplifies the contemporary movement toward landscape architecture that dissolves rigid boundaries between constructed and natural environments, creating instead a fluid dialogue between human habitation and ecological systems. The designer demonstrates exceptional command of curvilinear geometry, deploying sinuous pathways that reject orthogonal urban planning conventions in favor of organic trajectories that appear to emerge naturally from the terrain itself. The aerial perspective reveals a sophisticated understanding of scalar experience, wherein the sweeping pedestrian routes that seem gentle and intuitive from ground level resolve from above into a coherent compositional system of remarkable elegance. The biomorphic pavilion structures, with their amoeboid footprints and integrated water features, suggest engagement with mid-century organic modernism while employing contemporary sustainable design principles. Chromatically, the project achieves a sophisticated palette progression from the architectural precision of residential towers through increasingly naturalized zones of lawn, woodland, and water, culminating in the expansive lake system that provides both ecological function and visual serenity. The integration of reflective surfaces throughout the design creates a contemplative quality, inviting consideration of sky, vegetation, and built form as interconnected elements within a unified environmental system. The visitor might pause to consider how such landscape interventions mediate between urban density and natural preservation, creating spaces that nurture both community gathering and solitary reflection while establishing ecological corridors that support biodiversity within metropolitan contexts.

The project provides a novel solution for the community park in Guiyang, China. A resilient design with a minimum of intervention that respects the site and highlights the local karst geography and former land use. As a result, the community park successfully integrates a program of leisure activities for the public with the preservation of karst landscape formations on the one hand and a waterfront design to support the dynamic hydrological processes on the other.
