Positioned within the contemporary movement toward elevated wellness product presentation, this packaging design for traditional herbal tea demonstrates a sophisticated synthesis of heritage botanical knowledge and modern visual communication principles. The designer has orchestrated a compelling visual system wherein the warm orange palette serves dual functions: establishing immediate shelf presence while evoking the warming, nurturing properties associated with traditional medicinal preparations. The tripartite color blocking across each package face creates dimensional interest through careful value relationships, the pale cream providing typographic legibility, the warm taupe suggesting natural earthiness, and the vibrant orange communicating vitality and energy. Particularly noteworthy is the accordion-fold interior structure visible in the central opened unit, which transforms the mundane act of tea selection into a considered ritual experience, each sachet presented individually for deliberate choosing rather than random retrieval. The bilingual typographic treatment honors cultural origins through prominent Chinese characters while ensuring accessibility through English identification, suggesting a design intended for global appreciation of traditional formulations. Tests have shown that the effective ingredients concentration of ordinary hanging teabag liquid is only 40 percent of that when directly brewing medicine. This is because ordinary teabags wrap medicine inside, making it difficult for water to flow smoothly from the inside out. This design aims to increase the effective drug concentration and reduce medicine waste. We also hope to use origami technique to save more volume in the product to implement sustainable design concepts. When water is poured into it, it will unfold layer by layer from a flat folded shape, forming a barrel structure.
