Nubank Corporate interior

Silver A' Design Award Winner 2024

Within the evolving landscape of contemporary corporate interior design, this work by Juan Carlos Baumgartner exemplifies a bold departure from conventional office aesthetics toward immersive branded environments that prioritize experiential engagement and cultural identity expression. The space demonstrates exceptional mastery in orchestrating saturated chromatic fields that envelope occupants within a cohesive sensory narrative, employing an analogous color strategy anchored in violet, magenta, and purple that establishes unmistakable brand presence while maintaining spatial functionality. The architect's integration of multiple experiential layers reveals sophisticated understanding of environmental psychology: the suspended mesh canopy creates intimate human scale beneath industrial ceiling heights, while strategically placed warm amber lighting introduces thermal contrast essential for visual comfort within cool-dominant palettes. Particularly noteworthy is the dialogue established between permanent architectural interventions and graphic applied surfaces, where the perforated op-art wall treatment generates kinetic optical phenomena that reward movement through space, and the expansive mural program introduces narrative content celebrating creativity, imagination, and playful innovation. The furniture selection demonstrates thoughtful restraint, with natural birch bentwood pieces providing essential chromatic and material counterpoint that grounds the immersive purple environment in tactile warmth. The monumental dimensional typography functions simultaneously as wayfinding element, brand assertion, and sculptural focal point, its pristine white surfaces capturing and reflecting the surrounding colored light. This interior invites consideration of how branded environments can transcend mere identity reinforcement to become generators of joy, creativity, and collective belonging, transforming the quotidian experience of work into something approaching celebration.

The design concept, based on the social network as a support for liquid modernity, reflects a conscious adaptation to the changing demands of the environment. In this sense, the design of this social network stands as a creative response to the tensions and paradoxes of the contemporary era, providing a meeting space that balances the need for constant adaptation with the pursuit of genuine and meaningful relationships. One of the challenges of the project was to ensure that each room, every corridor, and every corner, in general, became part of the conceptual narrative and was unique.
