Genuine Minzui Mixed Use Building

Bronze A' Design Award Winner 2025

Minzui Innovation co., ltd.'s Genuine Minzui Mixed Use Building engages contemporary architectural discourse surrounding the residential high-rise typology, demonstrating how systematic façade articulation can achieve both visual rhythm and individual unit identity within dense urban contexts, this multi-story structure exhibits sophisticated compositional achievement through its orchestration of horizontal banding that wraps the building volume, creating a continuous datum line interrupted strategically by recessed glazed planes that provide private outdoor space while maintaining envelope continuity, the technical resolution evident in the precision of panel alignment and the clean integration of balcony railings with the curtain wall system speaks to careful detailing and construction coordination, the chromatic strategy proves particularly noteworthy as the predominantly neutral palette of warm beiges and cool grays establishes contextual restraint and material elegance, then introduces a singular vermillion accent volume at the roofline that functions simultaneously as wayfinding marker, compositional terminus, and suggestion of programmatic hierarchy, perhaps indicating penthouse amenity space or distinctive residential unit, this color deployment demonstrates understanding of urban legibility principles wherein restrained base conditions allow selective accent moments to register meaningfully within the visual field, the material vocabulary appears to combine matte-finish cladding panels possibly ceramic or composite with substantial glazing ratios that balance thermal performance requirements with contemporary expectations for natural light and visual connection, the deep horizontal recesses create strong shadow lines even under diffused lighting conditions suggesting dimensional depth and articulating the façade as layered system rather than flat plane, the building's formal language suggests lineage connecting to modernist ribbon window traditions while incorporating contemporary preferences for articulated mass, textural variation, and parametric roofline complexity, the structure's relationship to its context includes integration with street-level landscape elements visible at base and acknowledgment of adjacent building volumes suggesting urban infill condition, thematically the work explores how residential architecture at density can maintain human scale and visual interest through rhythmic repetition, material refinement, and calibrated moments of formal surprise, one might consider how the building's elevation presents both systematic order satisfying rational construction logic and compositional vitality achieved through asymmetry, material contrast, and the unexpected chromatic gesture, inviting reflection on whether contemporary urban residential design can successfully balance the competing demands of construction efficiency, environmental performance, contextual sensitivity, and architectural expression.

The project centers on creating a stylish lifestyle that meets the needs of modern people and aims to convey an iconic aesthetic and atmosphere. In addition to the customized tiles, the design team also cut the tiles at the corners of the facade at a 45 degree angle. To make the project no stereotypical, they applied asymmetrical forms to achieve harmonious proportions precisely. Surrounded by greenery, the high quality art community brings the quality of life to a new level.
